This music video is targeted at a older audience because you can tell the colours of the animation are a lot darker than other animations. Also younger people may not find the style appealing to them instead of bright colours.Younger people will also not be able to understand the animation as its not fun or exciting and a little inappropriate. For kids the colours and the mythical creatures could interest them a lot however there is some dark humour at the end of the episode that could appeal to the older audience. Stop motion isn't really specifically for one group of people. Many people are interested in some types of animation. As this is the case stop motion can be enjoyed by anyone as long as it doesn't conflict with what they themselves like.
What Does The Future Hold For Stop Motion Animation ?
The future of stop motion animation at the moment looks like it is fading however in my opinion I think people will always want some form of it instead of the advanced technology we have today. This is because we wouldn't have computer animation without the foundation of animation which is stop motion. Even today many famous directors and producers love stop motion. Peter Jackson the director of films such as The Lord of The Rings series says "It had such a profound affect on me as a 9-year old that made me want to make films. the next day I go my parents super 8 movie camera and started to do stop-motion animation with a clay dinosaur". With this quote it suggests that directors still haven't forgot about stop motion animation and I don't think it will.
